About Fiestas de la Santa Cruz
This indigenous festival consists of the faithful climbing to the top of the rock and lowering the wooden cross and taking it to the town of Bernal where it is adored on the feast of the Holy Cross by hundreds of pilgrims from various municipalities of Querétaro. On May 4, a row of 50 men lifts the cross from hand to hand to the point of the rock. On the other hand, there is a marathon and a contest of handmade masks; the winners are exhibited in the Mask museum.
