Considered the gateway to the Huasteca potosina, this city has an interesting center. Its oldest building is the Parroquia de Santiago Apóstol, dating from the sixteenth century and as a contrast, a few blocks away is the modern Cathedral. Rest in your Hidalgo Garden or Alameda, purchase at the Municipal Market. And do not leave without trying the Huastec enchiladas, the mad broth, the bocoles, the bolim, the acamayas, the pemoches, the chochas and the zacahuil.
