About Archaeological Zone of Mitla
After Monte Alban was the main ceremonial center in the area. Its name means "place of the dead 'and in its time it was inhabited by Mixtec and Zapotec although at different times. This mixture of cultures resulted in an interesting architectural ensemble stands out for its beauty. Visit the Great House of Pezelao, yard frets, the tombs of the Zapotec priests and kings.
