About Ex Convent of San Bernardino de Siena

Built in 1592, it is one of the oldest monasteries in America and the first Franciscan. In the beginning its construction was made of adobe, but that original building was burned in 1804. In its place they built the monastery with a neoclassical style of quarry and masonry, although its main square was maintained with the fountain that overlooked the rooms of the friars It is also said that the Iguala Plan was born within its walls.
