Biosphere Reserve Cuatro Cienegas
Part of the Bolsón de Mapimí, its pools, lagoons, creek and flood areas have become famous to this place. It also seems that its fauna has not changed for thousands of years and turtles, fish and reptiles still retain traits of their ancestors. The most famous animal to inhabit there is the hinged tortoise. Around this oasis there are stunning desert landscapes that contrast with the turquoise waters of the wells and springs.
