About Mision San Ignacio

In the ejido San Ignacio Arareko is this eighteenth-century Jesuit mission. The village is home to the Tarahumara typical dispersed in 20 hectares of forest and is about the mission that the community gathers. Beside, there is a museum featuring 45 paintings of sacred art.
It is amidst stunning scenery of rock formations as the Valley of the Mushrooms, Frogs and the Monks. Nearby is Lake Arareko.
