About National Park Palenque
It is a protected natural area located in the archaeological site of Palenque, located a few kilometers from the town of Palenque. The flora of the park consists of a tall evergreen forest and grassland, as for wildlife mammals such as the opossum four eyes, woolly opossums, gray squirrels, cotton rats, guaqueques, cacomixtles, kinkajou are, among others. It has a dense rainforest with rivers and streams of blue waters, such as the nearby waterfalls of Agua Azul and Misol Ha.
