About The Laguna de Terminos
The largest estuary in the country with 705,000 hectares, is a very rich reserve of mangroves and various types of original jungle. Declared an area of protection of flora and fauna, the mangrove is a reservoir of species, and an ideal place for nesting birds and reptiles. If fishing is your thing, it is a good place to fish for shrimp, robalo, mojarra, cazón, scallops and turtles. You can also visit Playa Caracol and spend a quiet day.
