About Archaeological Zone Tenam Puente
It was a power of the western fringe of the highlands of the Maya world. It is built in a strategic position on the road that connects the highlands of Chiapas and Guatemala with the Maya lowlands. The area consists of 60 structures and most of these important buildings are located in what has been called the Acropolis, on these platforms open and closed squares, plazas and courtyards were built.
