Ritual with more than 500 years of tradition, where the knowledge about navigation and commercial maritime routes of the ancient Maya Itzaes is combined, whose central character is Ixchel, the Mayan goddess of the Moon, the tides, fertility, childbirth, medicine and gestation, for whom they crossed the Caribbean Sea to bring offerings and receive the divine message for their communities.

The Pilgrimage begins with the ceremony of purification and healing by the priests to the canoeists, who depart from the Mayan port Polé (now Xcaret) crossing the Ekab sea (Caribbean Sea) to the island of Cuzamil (today Cozumel), where the Mayan Itzaes They established the oracle to the goddess Ixchel, and present offerings so that she favors them with her advice and wisdom.
