About San Carlos Fortress
Built by the government in the eighteenth century as a defense point of the Mexican plateau against military invasions overseas. This site is starts the Heroic Military College and was killed where Guadalupe Victoria, first President of Mexico, was also imprisoned here Gral. St. Anna. This fort is built with huge stone walls flanked by bastions, gunboats, barnetas, battlements, towers and moats.
