About Regional Museum of Ceramics

Located on the Paseo de la Independencia Street, this museum is housed in a beautiful nineteenth century mansion that belonged to José Francisco Velarde, General Santa Anna and who was executed for supporting the Second Empire. Opened in 1954 as such, it is the oldest of its branch and has a large sample of parts Atemajac Valley.
In its nine rooms are some pieces that have won the National Prize of Ceramics.
