It is the second most visited city when it comes to religious tourism in Mexico and one of the most important Marian shrines in Latin America. In addition to the Sanctuary of the Virgin of San Juan, visit its Plaza de Armas with its distinctive Sculpture of Liberty, the beautiful Municipal Palace, the Temple of San Juan Bautista, the Capilla del Pocito among others. The place is also known for its sweets, cajeta, jamoncillos and other dairy products.
