Mine the Prieta
It is basically this mine to which is owed the origin of Hidalgo del Parral, because during the seventeenth century to discover its veins, became the reason for the growth of the colonial city and the economic pillar of the town. For 345 years it remained open, finally closed due to water dripping onto the stones.
Now a museum which aims to raise awareness of mining in the area for its great importance in the region.
