About The Queretaro Aqueduct

One of the most emblematic buildings of the city, it was completed in 1735 and its 74 arches occupy a length of 1,280 meters. Aware of the problem of water supply, Don Juan Antonio de Urrutia y Arana was the one who financed most of the construction. Although according to the legend he did it out of love for a clarisa nun who asked him to do so. Whatever the true story, now the aqueduct is a symbol of the city.
