About The Cruz de Zacate (Grass Cross) Church and Ex-Convent
A plaque indicates that it was 1540 when this temple was founded. It houses the famous cross considered miraculous and it was right in this place where it was drawn on the ground covered with grass that the Franciscans decided to raise the temple. People still believe in her miracles and many go to visit her leaving a plaque next to her, an image that in itself is worth the visit. They even say that the cross is never maintained.
