About Historical Center
The center of this small town is distinguished by the Plaza de Armas, which houses the Municipal Palace on one side, a building with Moorish architecture and also the Liberian Basilica of Our Lady of Cosamaloapan, dating from 1806. It is also recommended to visit the Bajo de Noroña, is a monument headed by a French cannon left during the war of the pastels in Cosamaloapeño territory, which commemorates the victory of the Mexican people.
