About Papantla

Magical town that still preserves the charm and wisdom of its pre-Hispanic origins, flavored by the vanilla that its lands give, zealously guards the vestiges of the Totonac culture embodied in the Tajin and the dance of the Voladores de Papantla. Its streets leave picturesque corners between houses with tile roofs and the occasional colonial mansion still survives with its gates, vestibules and patios called sundecks, traditional places where vanilla was left to dry in the sun.
