About Cathedral

The Cathedral of San Ildefonso, is considered the oldest in America built on the mainland, Renaissance style, Mannerist (subjective and abstract style), and herrerian style. On the facade there is the central door or "Puerta del Perdón", flanked by the sculptures of San Pedro and San Pablo. Inside, there is the wooden Christ known as the Christ of Unity, almost 8 meters long, carved in birch wood and placed on a mahogany cross of 12 meters, also considered the largest in America made in wood. When you visit this place to visit do not forget to take the photo of the memory.
