This place to visit was built between 1542 and 1549 by orders of Don Francisco de Montejo, who was the conqueror of the Yucatan Peninsula. This building is a clear example of civil constructions of the Renaissance style. The building is currently the Casa de Cultura Banamex and the Casa Montejo Museum, where you will find 4 permanent rooms that exhibit 19th century objects and furniture, as well as 3 temporary rooms.
