About Santa Rosalía de Mulegé Mission

One of several missions in Baja California, the Mission of Santa Rosalía of Mulegé, was founded in 1705 by the Jesuit Juan Basaldúa. Located on the side of a high mountain range, on the banks of a large stream, from its viewpoint you can observe the desert on one side and date palms on the other. Inside you will find an altar with the original statue of Santa Rosalía dating from the 18th century.
