About Markets
The markets of Teotitlán are full of color and joy, both are located in the Historical Center, one of them famous for the characteristic carpets of the region and the other to offer the typical products and food. On the left side of the main church there is the Handicraft Market, with the sale of the famous handmade carpets made of lambs' wool (dyed with natural colorants of plants and animals) bags, burrs, sausages, hats, key chains and wool dolls. On the right side of the church is the Municipal Market with fruit and vegetables sold in the region, the typical bread of the town, prepared antojitos, among others. Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays are Plaza Grande days, where all the artisans of the valley come down to offer their products.
