About Ex Convent of San Antonio de Padua
Built on a large pyramid in the sixteenth century, in this place to visit two epochs of Mexican history come together: pre-Hispanic and colonial. Its atrium is the largest in the world after St. Peter's in the Vatican, making it a must-see on the peninsula. Its interior is also worthy of admiration, as it still conserves mural paintings from the 16th century and its main altar is dedicated to the Virgin of Izamal.
